Butter Beer

The Disney Performance

Or as Porter likes to call it, "The biggest marketing scam, EVER!" Your child gets to dance on a Disney stage (which by the way, isn't even in a Disney park - it's in 'Downtown Disney'), and in exchange, you get to take your entire family on a week-long vacation where the cost of admission alone to the parks for the week is over $2,000. Ummm, yep, they got us. hook. line. and sinker.

But look at that smile. We are proud suckers!

The Lion King

When you get to a show early, you get primo seats.
When you get primo seats, guess what? You are asked to participate. ALL OF YOU!!!

The Wizarding World

The only thing disappointing about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was the size. I need MORE! It was In-Credible! And for Callie, dreams did come true! We would go back to Universal Studios without question. GREAT!

Summer Fun with Nana & Grandpa

Better late than never! The girls each enjoyed a week with Nana and Grandpa this summer. They went to the Dr. Pepper and Texas Ranger museums, golfed, swam and shopped till they dropped. We ended the summer at their house too. Porter's band, Shotguns Ready played a benefit for the Boy's Club in their backyard. Guests of honor were newly engaged couple Jarrett and Kristen!

Wild, Wild West

Hip Hip Hooray!

Callie was cast in the role of Lena/Grandmother Lena in the 5th grade musical production Treaty Oak. They were able to try out for two parts, and this is one of the parts for which she chose to audition. She is beyond excited! It is my understanding that she has multiple lines in multiple scenes and closes the show with a recitation of a poem. Hurray for wishes come true! Happy for my girl!

The show will be performed on Thursday, November 15. There is usually a performance during the day for the school kids and an evening performance as well. Come one, come all!

Pumpkin Patch

We'll be spending a lot of time at our church pumpkin patch during the month of October. All of the money raised in the patch funds youth mission trips. The pumpkin patch last year paid for Madden's trip to Heifer International Ranch this summer. It was an amazing experience for her. Yes, that truck was full of pumpkins. We had 200 volunteers and it took just over an hour to unload. Second delivery is on October 14. Come and buy your pumpkins from us!!!
