Seriously, I really think I am ready to put the tap shoes on again and take some lessons. Perhaps in the fall...

Cruisers

Madden got a new bike for her birthday! Or rather, she got money for a new bike for her birthday, but we haven't exactly gotten the bike yet. We have her interested in a beach cruiser style which we saw all over California last summer. Here are some that we are considering.... I fancy the black "skull" model with pink rims, but think that might be a bit "edgy" for my sweet girl. I think the yellow is adorable and would "match" Madden's personality and coloring. Or perhaps that traditional white and pink with the pink rims and groovy seat?! All so cute, which will she pick? Which would you pick?

Mudroom Mania
I am so stinking thrilled about my new mudroom! Among many fabulous features, it will have a beer fridge, sink (especially important if you step in something unpleasant), bench and hooks, and a drop-down ironing board (not that it will get any use). However, the two most fabulous things in the room have to be my new "vintage" lights (Rejuvenation.com) and the floor tile (Daltile, designed by Po). This is housewife ecstasy!!! I am sure to smile everytime I do laundry. They are laying the tile as I write....
Oh! and see the new doggie door!

We have two new ski bunnies!
So, the skiing at Sun Valley went over exceptionally well. At least, after the first morning was over! Porter and I stayed around watching the ski school and spying, and there was quite a bit of frustration and some tears by the girls that first morning, but they were on the chair lift by the second day. They want to know when we are going again! Here is a clip taken on Madden's ingenious Flip Video camera (which we highly recommend). Callie in lavender, Madden in red, Monika in white, Wendy in navy, Porter videographer.
It was great to have together time with Bill and Paula and some time with Jarrett and Shelly. Poor Wendy probably wishes she had less together time with us! Not only do we live in her house, but we travel with her on vacation as well!

Out of my comfort zone
For starters, the Easter Bunny visited last night! We learned through one of our library books, Everything About Easter Rabbits (I can't figure out how to underline on this blog), that there are 3 varieties of Easter Bunnies: the GENUINE ORIGINAL Easter Rabbit, the Hardworking Easter Rabbits, and the (last but not least, and mommy's favorite) World-Traveling Easter Rabbit. We have decided that our personal Easter Bunny is of the World-Traveling variety, which means he shops at the Easter Rabbit department store, where he can pick out whatever he would like to deliver to the good girls. This would explain how he is able to end up with those Old Navy flip-flops and t-shirts in our Easter baskets. This is no dumb Bunny!
Hope everyone had a lovely Easter! Our church service was highlighted by a brilliant singing performance. This man sang what started out as a traditional-type hymn and ended up a gospel hand-clapper. It truly moved me to tears, it was so joyful.
