Braces OFF - Retainer ON

Normand Boys

A few weeks ago, all the Normand girls were out of town, so the three Normand boys came over for some pizza and beer. While Greyson and Madden amazed us with their piano showtunes, Baby Porter (after drinking his beer) passed out on the girls' pink couch. I went to check on him, and about had a heart attack because he had disappeared! After the initial panic subsided, I switched the lights and found him contentedly snoring under Callie's bed! Silly Monkey!

Sleepover at Aunt Melanie's

I'm not sure how they fit it all in: swimming, planting a garden, Luby's, painting pots, trip to Wal-mart, drawing, finger painting and more drawing!! Fun times with Aunt Melanie and Jeff!

Dance Recital photos

So, I didn't exactly take any photos at the dress rehearsal or recital. However, you're in luck, because a professional photographer did! If you have any interest in looking, click here. Click on dance recitals, then you have access to the SMSD 2:00 and 5:30 recitals. (You have to type in an email to gain access - sorry.)

2:00 recital dances: Bluebonnet Waltz (Madden), Girls Just Want to Have Fun (Madden), and Sister Dance (both).
5:30 recital dances: Flowers (Callie), Heat Wave (Moni).

Fun times!

"Completion" Ceremony

I dutifully sat through the 1st grade "Completion" Ceremony yesterday. UGH! Why do we need a ceremony for the end of 1st grade? And I get to sit through another one for 2nd grade next year! Thank goodness, we don't have one for 3rd or 4th grade! Am I the only one who thinks this is a complete and total waste of everyone's time? And it's not like you can not go. Then your kid would be the only one without a mom there taking pictures. Now, that being said, Callie did look awfully proud!

San Antonio Zoo

Callie chose the HYENA as the most beautiful animal she saw at the zoo. Seriously? She cracks me up!
