Porter and I became Godparents this week to Porter Blackford Normand. We are honored. And we followed that up by celebrating his 2nd birthday!

The girls chose to cook a "Deceptively Delicious" quesadilla recipe tonight with yellow squash and navy beans as the hidden "deceptive" ingredients. Porter, Madden and I agreed they were much better than regular cheese quesadillas, but Callie ate one bite and deemed them "not my favorite!"

My Dancer Girl

Tonight was Madden's dance Troupe awards ceremony. She was in the Troupe Prep group - the youngest girls in Troupe. She racked up the awards and came home with these:

• Perfect Attendance award
• Co-Captain award
• The "Spot On" award (from her teachers) for always knowing her dances perfectly
• Best Dancer award (voted on by the Troupe Prep members)

I'm a proud mommy. And all this from the girl who's not quite sure that she wants to take dance anymore!
