Church Happenings

The 3rd graders received their Bibles a few Sundays ago. A cupcake celebration followed.

Madden was one of the leaders at Children's Sabbath services this morning. She did a great job although she said her chin quivered the entire time she spoke.

Scout

Things I will miss about our beloved Scout:
  • sandpaper tongue kisses

  • tufts of fur all over my house

  • the fierce protection of her family

  • her fuzzy belly

  • Freddie Krueger toenails that she wouldn't let me touch

  • softest fur ever

  • Alpha dogginess

  • her blatant love of treats and people food

  • fear of thunderstorms

  • need to smooch every child who entered our home

  • her love of walks

Until we meet again on the Rainbow Bridge. We love you, Scoutie Girl.

Our Last Hurrah

We spent our Labor Day weekend in Corpus Christi soaking up some sun (and rain).

Cold Front

Getting out of the car at school this morning, Madden proclaimed it "cold-ish." A quick glance at the car thermometer indicated it was 83 degrees. Hardly cold by anyone's standards. However given that we watched the same car thermometer rise to 116 two days earlier, one might understand that the 33 degree swing might cause one to feel "cold-ish."
