Project YAPP
"Project YAPP (Youth and Pound Pups) pairs at-risk teens and shelter dogs for training and socialization. Dogs become more adoptable. Kids learn responsibility, patience, compassion and a sense of self worth. It’s a win-win-win." http://www.projectyapp.org/
Project YAPP is the brainchild of my friend, Brenda. Some of y'all know Callie's sweet buddy Tessa. Well, this is her mother's non-profit venture. The organization is holding a Shutterpup Photo Contest. The event will raise money for a facility where YAPP can conduct classes, foster the dogs during the YAPP program, and hold community events!
We have entered Madden's photo of our three dogs in the bluebonnets. Consider casting a vote for her photo, or for any of the other photos that you like. Each vote = $1.00. Or, consider entering your own photo in the contest like Melanie did of her pound pup, Rusty!

D.C. Redux
Madden traveled to D.C. for the second time this year, this time with the National Junior Honor Society. The group of 50+ covered twice as much ground in four days as our family did in an entire week!
