Friends
Sometimes a photo truly can capture the essence of a friendship. Thanks to Grace and Madden Photography for capturing these personalities!
Officer's Choice
Proud of Mooskie for winning the spirit stick this week with the Officer's Choice award. In addition, she was FISH of the Week. This is an award that is passed from one Belle to another Belle each week. To sum it up,
"The most important part of the FiSH! Philosophy is choosing your attitude. No matter what happens during your day, decide what kind of person you want to be and deal with the situation the best way you can."
Congrats, sweet girl!

Humans of New York
Love this personal spotlight from Humans of New York (9/16/15):
“I’m a rare book librarian. I get to touch books every single day. My colleague and I have a joke that we are Defenders of Wonder. A physical book assigns a sense of reverence to the content inside. It’s the same feeling you get when you look at a painting or hear a piece of music. And I think that’s something worth defending. And just like a book gives reverence to its content, I think the library gives reverence to books. The building itself is a masterpiece. So many famous thinkers have come here to study and write. Just being here connects you to that lineage.”
If you are on Facebook, I highly recommend following the Humans of New York page. The stories are fascinating, heart-wrenching, uplifting.

Hole-y Smokes!
So, this happened at the Ranger's first game of the season. There was a big, fat hole in the field. No one was even near Callie when she stepped into it and went down. Huge bummer. She got it x-rayed - no fracture, but she is supposed to stay off of it for a "few days." She is already completely annoyed by the crutches and restrictions.

Game Day!
As one of my 17 faithful blog followers, I'm warning you. There will be a few dance team photos heading your way this fall. And by a few, I means loads and loads. Because this is Madden's new normal, and therefore, our family's new normal. Friday night lights (or Thursday night occasionally, if you want to be precise), baby!
