The Plates continued their winning ways on Saturday, but it was their closest game to date. The opponent was out to get them. One of their teammates is on Callie's gymnastics team and told Callie their team was "gonna crush" the Plates this week. (There are only 4 teams in our division, and we play each team 3 times. We won the first meeting 2-0.) They were definitely all business with their coaches armed with clipboards and the like, and they had TWO coaches prowling each sideline. Seriously. They wanted to WIN. But, the Plates would not be denied and took the game with a 3-2 score. Callie had some awesome defensive stops and played a great game.
